To God Be the Glory!
May the Almighty God bless this achievement and more to come in his Name.I just hope the government is not only trying to divert our attentions to sports as many other governments have done, while making us to loose sight from the basic problems of our communities. I just pray that the God should take control of everything and continue to guide us in all we do.The Bible says we should pray for our leaders and therefore, we should joint hands to pray for our leaders in all the do so that they should be men of UNDERSTANDING.
Dear Browser, there is no diversion in this event as lack of sports infrastructure is just one of the many problems facing Cameroon. What are you referring to as MANY OTHER GOVERNMENTS? How many governments have we had in Cameroon since independence? And for your information … this newly-inaugurated multi-purpose sports complex in Yaounde is a gift from the People’s Republic of China … and so you might just as well join hands to pray for God to guide the leaders of China to develop Cameroon while Cameroonian leaders scratch their heads and deliver medals in exchange.
Dear Mojo,
What i wrote above is just a rough sketch of a highly inspired say. I wont go deep into all the details but i have only one advice for you;Do not believe all what you read and hear from the media. From your statements, I can easily predict that you are strongly following the media.I also read and heard what you said about the sports complex being a gift from china…long story…And me talking of other governments is also a long story which cant fit into this page.I only thank God for the sports complex but i pray its aimed at good and will be used for good. There is no need for “development” if its aimed at bad and used for bad… May God bless Cameroon.
Good initiative for these string attached aids help to beautify our Motherland. Isn’t it preferable to the fact that disguise leaders in suits will continue to swindle money from the gov’t coffers to pursue their selfish aims abroad.
N;B From the media point of view the sports complex is a gift from the Chinese gov’t hahaha never . There’s a mechanism being put in place for them to recover their money even a thousand fold.
It’s high time we think of what is best for us rather than depending on tax payers money from other gov’ts
Nice DAY
did it take like 8yrs?
Ultra Modern sport complex in Cameroon! What is the capacity of that ultra modern complex? How many of them do we have in Cameroon!? What high level sports event can it host? Olympic, World cup, confederation or African nation cup?
thanks to the chines govmt, sometime it is important to face the reality, we shouldnot fauld our hand and wachtout only what they did but ask our selfs why? as someone said before no one in this world perform a good job for nothing especial when it is not on hes interest. so let be ready for tomorow.
That stuff is ugly send it back to China. Is that what we get for having millions of illegal chinese in Cameroon? China has been using Cameroon as a dumping ground for their illiterate citizens. Let them build roads not stupid so call sports complexes that will dilapidate soon during the next rainy season.
At least China is doing alot in cameroon just for their short time. What has the almighty corrupt France done? After turning Cameroon into a paradise of corruption and fraud, they are still cleaning all the remaining moisture left.By the time everything is drycleaned tere will leave that beautiful land with war and confussion. I pray that leaders of Cameroon will oneday recognise the continues sufering of their citizens.
CAN ANYONE BE ABLE TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE OR YOU ARE JUST A BUNCH OF UNGRATEFUL NEGATIVE…. ho Yeha , I forgot this is just typical cameroonian minds.
Why can’t you go back to China, Mongog and take that boat you call a sports complex with you! Grateful for what? That sinking boat? Take a look at it again!
There’s no such thing as a free lunch. If this is a gift, it certainly has strings attached to it. As did La France-Afrique, so goes Sino-Africa relations. We continue getting ripped off our natural resources with highschool type sports complexes in return.
The arena looks beautiful, but there’s nothing ULTRA about it. At best, it’s too small to accomodate all the sports loving Cameroonians in Yaounde. This should have been built in Douala instead, and let’s hope that this building will be well maintained.
Hi there, why do we have this bad feeling about our lovely country my bros if you do not love your country a somalian will not come and do it for you the complex been a gift or sponsor by cameroon lets learn to appreciate it is in cameroon the only think we are to do is to keep it clean god bless you.
Ultra Modern. This is very far from Ultra, please build more substandard ones in Douala, Buea, Garoua, Bafoussam, Ebolowa, etc……. The list goes on doesn’t it. (Progress huh)?
