Barcelona And Manchester Look For Eto’o Solution

Samuel Eto’o’s next move could be sorted out soon after Barcelona agreed to lower their asking price…
Barcelona and Manchester City are lining up further talks to try and find a solution to the transfer of Samuel Eto’o from the Catalan outfit to the Premier League side, according to a report. The Cameroonian striker is believed to have agreed to a €10 million-a-year contract at Eastlands, but has demanded compensation from Barca for forcing him to move. While that obstacle is also under consideration, the matter of how much Manchester City will have to pay is still ensuring that the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement. Barcelona have offered to lower their asking price of €30 million if City are willing to raise their initial bid to show willing – and talks can then continue, Sport state. With only one season left on his current contact, Barcelona are trying to earn as much from Eto’o’s transfer as possible, with the money then being used to buy David Villa from Valencia.

City have agreed to further negotiations after contact was made, and a move could be completed by the end of next week when Eto’o returns from the United States.

Eto, do you know one thing? You are a lucky player in Barca, and of no use to the National team. You cannot qualify your team like Drogba. The whites want to send you to a dead team for your football to be completly forgotten. That is why they are forcing to sell you.

The Barca staff will regret the current saga surrounding Samuel Eto for lifetime. He is a good player, I see no reason they wanna let him go. I understood very well the internal reason behind the saga.. I also ask myself.. with all the happenings, why are those big teams in Europe not showing up to buy him? There should be a problem somewhere… The player should look into this thus, try to figure out his weaknesses.
Eto you are a great player, I’m your fan and will always be… good luck wherever you go

  3. United States Sean from New York, United States says:

Barcelona PEOPLE (the entire city and community) should mount a people protest and march against the STUPIDITY of LaPorta and the other Barcelona Club’s officials: SAMUEL ETO’O IS THE BEST PLAYER EVER AT No. 9… Period!!!

If Eto’o was British (like Beckam), French (like Thierry Henri, or the “profiteer” M. Platini), Spanish, Italien or Brasilian (like Ronaldinho), he would have been voted Best Player of the World at least once, like after his brilliant season of 2005-06 as the highest scorer of the Spanish football league. Just review objectively the stats of this phenomenal striker!

However, God made Samuel Eto’o AFRICAN (Cameroonian to be precise) and BLACK. This combination–African & Black–still suffers the stubborn tenacity and STUPIDITY OF RACISM. Yes, even if many people are hypocritical in feigning that this is not the case, and hiding what they really think and feel at the bottom of their hearts; especially when money poisons an issue.

Back to the Barcelona community and officials: Only hypocritically BLIND FOOLS would let Samuel Eto’o leave after this Super Star have given and would still give more to them than they will never be able to give back to him (for, the way they’re treating Sammy now makes one think that he may even not be the highest paid player of Barcelona; which would be pure shame!). This HUMAN BEING, this Son of God—our common father regardless of WHERE we were born and WHAT COLOR he sent us on earth with—is a blessing for Barcelona. I mean, Eto’o and Barcelona are A GOOD MARRIAGE! Good marriages have a mystic which govern their unions; a mystic which transcend the simple wills and frailties of the individuals involved and those observing. For Barcelona and Eto’o: Some thought and said that it was Ronaldinho who made Sammy great. But the contrary seems more correct, considering the performance and stats of Eto’o vs. those of Ronaldinho in Italy after the latter left the Barca. Another stupid theory—apparently entertained by LaPorta and his cohort—was to bring in Thierry Henry to supplant Eto’o… Well, we know the result of this silliness because we saw SE and TH play together. Again, except for blind fools, the result and conclusion are clear…

People make a big mistake talking about Eto’o being “an old commodity” at 28. They’re short sighted and forget that for this kinds of finest Cameroonian footballers, the older the better: Thomas Nkono, Antoine Bell… and, best and above all, THE GREAT ROGER MILLA!!!

GO! SAMMY AND GOD BLESS YOU NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO OF YOU AND NO MATTER WHERE GOD’S WIIL LANDS YOU!!! YOU ARE THE BEST OF ALL BEST!!!
