Men Sentenced For Making Fake Licenses
ATLANTA (AP) — A former Cobb County Department of Driver’s
Services worker and another man have been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to handing out fake driver’s licenses in exchange for money.
A federal judge in Atlanta sentenced 36-year-old Gbemisola
Wellington-Salako of Marietta to 15 months in prison; 33-year-old Jules Armand Che Siewe Achou of Atlanta was given 13 months in prison. Siewe Achou, a native of Cameroon, will also face a deportation hearing after he serves his sentence.
Prosecutors said Wellington-Salako, who worked as a driver’s
license examiner in Marietta, agreed to help Siewe Achou provide fake licenses to people willing to pay up to $2,500 starting in 2007.
Three other men have pleaded guilty to helping Siewe Achou find customers. Two were sentenced to 8 months in prison and one was sentenced to one year of probation.

Its seem to me as if the Moderators of this forum are concerned only on issues concerning the Diaspora in negative aspects. There are a whole lot of issues happening in Cameroon, especially the Government and its policies. Please give us Meaning Information on how our Beloved Country is being Governed and not by exposing the Diaspora.
Chief,
I beg to disagree with you on that one. We should allow Admin to do his job, he is the pro on that terrain. I personally smell no foul on the posting of such articles. People back home who crucify hard working and clean lads like myself, who cannot afford the luxury of sending 10digits on weekly basis to Cameroon, should have a glance of what some of our Don Juans are doing outside in order to ‘farouter’ whole villages.
I even think it is our civic responsibility to denounce and distance ourselves from such rustics, if known. By failing to do that, we’re all indirectly accomplices to a felony mechanism that does nothing but defecates on the paths that our progenies shall tread upon, sooner or later.
It is high time we stop playing double standards, I say this because some of us are too shortsighted, and we forget too soon. In a few years to come, when all our Cameroonian children born in Bush, shall be rejected for sensitive positions in various Bush gov’ts, we shall be the very first to cry out foul play and swear by Jehovah that tis cos of nothing but of racism.
I think the time is ripe for us to understand that Oyibo’s are not all that foolish as we do nourish in our various thresholds, all these misdemeanors are being well-documented: on paper, hard disc, and on charts (through ascending curves) .
We all know how vengeful the Oyibos are, if they can get you, they wouldn’t miss your next of kins…
Zam Zam.don’t you think that monotonious is boring?we are not saying that Amin is not doing a great job but he should try to diversify news so that we get thing around the globe of cameroon, year abroad is not easy.how many cameroonians back home even have access to the net to read on this web even those who have are the priviledge ones and the under priviledge are those who need this more so that they should not thing of selling properties home for “bush falling”we really need to know how things are moving home.little is pasted here on economic and political issues.the same cameroonians at home are the same abroad with the same characters.thank you my brother, greethings that way i enjoy most of your comments on this forum.
Biya, this job Admin is doing is not that very easy as we do think oh!…Running a melting-pot like this platform, and engaging into a selection process would be more tedious/challenging a task than just posting what is at hand. Personally, I don’t think Admin will have that much time to venture into that process of selecting news to the detriment of his audience, and don’t forget Admin needs as much hits on his page per day as possible…
You deserve a word of praise.
that is why i never care to read all the bs from cameroon. they all the so call newspaper are #@%$. chief arrey you are write. these guys can even afford visas to europe.
Is “name and shame” of disgraceful acts a bad thing.
If Cameroonians had taken this type initiative a long time ago, our beloved fatherland would not be where it is.
Chief Ayuk Arrey:
There is nothing wrong with the posting of this article by Admin. This forum is about stories related to Cameroon whether happenning in Cameroon or outside the country. Many of us blogging on this forum blame our leaders back at home for fraud, embezzlement, corruption and what have you yet some of us do the same things even on foreign land! This is shameful. The judges have been too kind in their sentencing – personally and if the law permits, I would have dished out at least 10 years to each of them.
Meaning= Meaningful Information about Governance In Cameroon.
Chief Ayuk Arrey.what you had said is really very true,it seems Amin has some bias about diaspora or seems he once made an effort traveling outside but things did not work well with him.yeah we are now tired of the diaspora news because many things are really happing home but will keep on blinding us with the unnecessory ones or taking out dated news and paste for us to read.i wonder if they need constructive comments from us for meaningful significants.we are tired of sport and diaspora news and we had commented a lot on them which i believe users of this forum had learned alot from it.please tell us about socio-political,economic and religous nature of the country.
Hey Biya, make some inquires well before tyring to criticise or appreciate. Amin is rightfully base in America, and if I don’t see how his postings of some of our misdeeds is so painful here. We cameroonians have to paint a good image of Cameroon right? Don’t you know that exposing some of these might deter some of these bastards who go on with all these humilating acts? Above all he isn’t the author of such articles, he just copy and paste, believe me if he doesn’t paste it here it’ll be read somewhere around the globe. It’s needless to remind you guys that negative issues always make headlines? Before some of you people chastise him for exposing the bad attitudes of some Cameroonians, do bear in mind that he never sent out any of those guys, if we’re really bitter of this postings, then I don’t see to a certain degree how we discourage such acts. Ride on and bring more postings it’ll thus put the culprits to shame I mean.
these postings
Thankyou Chief.
Dear Chief Ayuk Arrey from Tirol, cannot handle the truth about your people who are suppose to be better than those running Cameroon? I guess you do not want to know the reality. If so, my dear friend blame it on the government in Cameroon ok.
This is what i do not undertand. The guy probably hade difficulties living Camer for the US, but now that he made it instead of taking it easy and building fundations for his new life, the idiot decide to take the short curt. Now he will return to the same hem he came from ( cameroon ), the differens is that now that hell will be more painfull this time because he was already used to the better life in the US. Poor yoou brother.
Jean:
Good points, the idiot will learn a lesson when he is returned to Cameroon. After faking misdeeds against him in Cameroon, he conducts misdeeds to the hand that feeds and houses him! What a shame!
jean you are very correct man .if this happen in cameroon we will say its because things are hard for him but now that he is in the us where he could find a job .he did not .we realy mush remind ourselfs if we set objective work on them with the right spirit and determination we will attain them.all is not about money but how you make it .if you ask him now for a very little some he may not even have.
ok, ATLANTA after his 13 months in prison, send us back Armand Che Siewe Achou, he is one product from our fabrics. Thanks
Mr Armand it should have been good for you and your family, to go slowly slowly, instead of taking a shortest way. anyhow we are waiting for you to explain.
Here we go again…
MB from Nottingham, United Kingdom …
GIMP, come on, say something! Or do you want do die stupid? The going got weird and MB turned pro!! ….. Hehe .. Listen, MB, why don’t you just sit down and give your mind a rest? … because all you’ve got is fingers that won’t quit typing and a brain that won’t start. Of course what should someone in his right senses even anticipate? … it’s just hard to get the big picture when MB the Prince of Wales has such a small “screen”. I’ve never read any sense from you, weed-smoking homo …. Your mind is like a steel trap — always closed! Well, quit trying too hard … As it happens, hopefully, someday you’ll go far, if you catch the right train!!
PRIMA FACIE CASE OF STUPIDITY!!
@Chief Ayuk,
When news breaks the moderator has the right to inform us be it from home, abroad, land, air or sea.Not only the people in government are committing mis-chieves but also people in the diaspora. Our people need to know our businesses and activities out here because we ‘talk big’ all the time OK.
@Dinga Man.
Let the news come from anywhere I don’t care but this Forum is too “Radical” against the Diaspora. Have you ever read any hard article against the regime on this forum ?
If the Diaspora is talking big, then I don’t think is any business of the Administrators of this Forum. I thank them for their efforts to keep us informed.
But their main target is always the Diaspora. It is not fair !
Thank you for visiting!
What we do is very simple – we report news (whether good or bad), we do not make news. Nor do we engage in news cosmetics.
Admin do some work on the delay of some contributions, which are not profane in any sense…
Admin, pls try to filter out some of the trash postings in this forum . i mean insults and slander. Bar or suspend some people if continue to use this forum as a stage to insult those with different opinions from theirs. Civilised people should know how to tolerate ideas different from theirs. If I don’t line your Ideas, I take on your ideas not you, as long as it was not personal.
Before you landed on this forum Chief, people were encouraged to submit articles. So I indirectly invite you to do so, at your own leisure…
lukot for conclude too soon…even if admin di do patcha as wuna di claim, the bobo di try well-well for yi web-site…wuna wait until wuna get wuna own website and see how yi deh for manage such a platform witi the kana pipo weh we be…
@Chief Ayuk,
Yes,there has been alot of news about the ‘Alibaba & the 40thieves’ in Yaunde. If you haven’t seen it,it is because you joined the forum late.Don’t worry the show time is just around corner we will know if the moderator is partisan or not.
I personally believe the admin is not digging deep enough. I will not just like to know those fooling around in the diaspora but will like to see the pictures and other information like schools the went through in Cameroon. Corruption should not just be fought back home. We have to clean our image on earth. We should be proud to say we Cameroonian.
Yes Ayuk i couldn’t agree with u more! Most articles on this forum are carefully selected to suit certain agendas. CMR is not all about bad news! Where has the good news gone to?
Those who yearn for “good news” about Cameroon should embark on reading the online versions of CAMEROON TRIBUNE, EDEN newspaper of Limbe, or The POST of Buea. And it is obvious that these sources are not by themselves bearers of “good news” Unfortunately, “good news” can only be created through censorship.
The idiots thaught they were operating in Cameroon
shame
cameroonians cameroonians u guys have exported ur culture to europe and america
That guy deserve what he deserve, America is not Cameroon where you can do anything.
