  1. Release all the kids. Why would you release some and hold onto some? A bargaining chip? One of the two conditions for the resumption of dialogue is unconditional release of all those kids. Do it or no dialogue. How difficult is it for these clowns to understand what is going on? Have they not realized already that intimidation is not working and will not work?

  2. Contributions towards the impending negotiations are important. It is not enough to clamor for negotiations and then send in people who will be blank about what to say and at the end, a decree is signed totally at odds with the wishes of the people. Childish utterances hardly constitute the type of input those in the diaspora should glorify. This is time for business and those we send in need out helpful support.

For example, people glibly ask for 10 provinces (or states/regions), 7, 5, 2 and one and indivisible. What do these divisions mean and what are the price tags that go with each arrangement? The South Province/Region, for example, has 300,000 human beings and a disproportionate appetite for duty posts – governors, MPs, directors, directors-general, president-directors-general, chefs-de-terre, etc. But can a decentralized South Province sustain (economically) all these incestuous appointments and the corresponding wage bill? Can they work to provide for their upkeep? Is it not true that part of the do-or-die battle is the fear of losing the means to sustain this armada of appointees?

Nearer at home, there is the debate of whether a 2-state or a 10-state is ideal, with occasional xenophobic expressions of NW domination of the SW if ever the twosome are put together for purposes of governance. How realistic is this phobia? Does anything in the past justify it? If it is true then why put up such a joint fight in the first place? Much soul searching is called for here because it is this fear that provides plenty of nourishment for the divide-and-rule culture that has phagocytized (phagocytosed if you wish) Cameroonians of English expression and the culture they so much yearn for!

  3. Y DEM D EVEN SALUT THOSE BASTARD GOVT OFFICIALS DEM SEF as if they are coming from a state mission.
u detained ppl then release them in an atmosphere as if the governor is receiving new year wishes from prisoners!!!!! RUBISH

    • rain onto others Belgium

shaking hands with terrorist is something i don,t understand with this colonial regime of Paul Biya

      • rain onto others Belgium

They are focusing their attention only on teachers so that school can start and if school start Biya is not coming back to dialogue with anyone. NO SCHOOL, NO SCHOOL, he does not love our children more than us.

  4. MY QUESTION IS WHY ARE UNARMED PEOPLE ARRESTED IN WEST CAMEROON AND SENT TO CENTRAL PRISON IN YAOUNDE. CAN YAOUNDE ANSWER THIS QUESTION? ARE THERE NO PRISONS OR CELLS IN WEST CAMEROON?WHY IS YAOUNDE LOOKING DOWN AT WEST CAMEROON?

    • Good and very pertinent question! Which article of the Constitution allows this practice? If refusal to take the one-star flag by a team captain is wrong, if burning of the flag is wrong (in the US this is seen as part of free speech), why would abuse of the Constitution be right?

  5. unfortunately they are just playing with time coz the sugar has sturbonly refused to dissolve for ever. when a frog struggles to bend its limbs not to be swallowed by a snake there are 2 things either to let it go or hold it and suffocate. Now Biya will understand why the worlds most powerfull men like Obama needed to go down to ezeka ,condem the killings in Bda and Buea, cross over to west Cameroon and see 4 himself what is going on.Its easier to travel to Swizerland than meeting his pple. Your time is up Mr King coz there is nothing new to us.We have lived repeated cycles of lies over the decades its 3 generations in total our fathers, Us and our children. we can never be fools forever shine ur eyes well well .If u are not very sure if you are living out of touch with reality organise another peace match even with you there and see how it will end up.

  6. I’ll ask this question again? Why should French mercenaries be the one to come and tell a president how to handle internal unrest? And the foolish governor stands like a conquering hero! Should have just walked pass them if I were there.

    • When a leader of a people submits himself as a mercenary,s best student this what you should expect as a consistency of his stand point of view.

    • AG
What do you expect from a puppet who cannot reason. The man is more than retarded. In addition to the question you asked. Why should unarmed civilians who are protesting for justice be arrested and detained in a maximum security prison along sides harden criminals like armed robbers, political criminals, terrorists etc etc ? Moreover you can see that Boya is still using some of our brothers and sisters in the regime to fight us. The special low ranking force with guns that brought these guys to Bamenda are all Anglophones. These are all Bamenda boys in the military that’s why the have a masked on. The reason is because if they go there and are attacked by the public, it will have no impact on the regime because it will be considered that they are fighting among themselves.

    • BREAKING NEWS: LRC government scam. Developing story reveals that most the of boys paraded in Bamenda porported to be the released Bamenda Detainees are actually not the boys that were kidnapped from Bamenda. Reliable sources hold that the boys are some convicts from Kondengui who have been promised freedom if they stage this show. Suspicions was rife when no family members of the said detainees were present to welcome them and also the fact that most of the boys just disappeared after they descended the bus instead of meeting with some members of the public as it was expected.. More developments as private investigation unfolds.

LRC can never be trusted for once for anything. NO DIALOGUE with this criminal regime .

      • BIYA MUST GO ( BMG) Reserved

        Mola,

Of course, LRC is simply playing to the Gallery.
Southern Cameroonian children were kidnapped in Southern Cameroons and in a cloak-and-dagger Operation smuggled to LRC.
Due to pressure from the de facto leadership of Southern Cameroons aka the Consortium, LRC is giving some of the kidnapped children a triumphant entry into Southern Cameroons. The Proconsul of LRC, who gave the orders for their Kidnapping was the same Person welcoming them with pomp and pageantry.

        Who is fooling who?
The Consortium should continue to squeeze the balls of Biya until ALL the legitimate demands are met.

Unstoppable Momentum. Nothing more, nothing less.
“ALUTA Continua, Victoria Ascerta” (The Struggle Continues, Victory is Certain)
DonaldTrump for Akonolinga aka United States of Akonolinga should take special note.

        • Mola,
Come rains, come shine , we are taking our country back from these marauding criminals. I cannot imagine my family sharing the same space or country with savages like this.
Aluta Continua bro, and until freedom comes, we stand together.

  7. Hopefully those remaining demonstrators are still alive.

It is so sad to see that mother crying for her RIGOBERT, probably an Anglo/Bami freedom fighter…

    • l,enemi dans la Maison Germany

haha, i hear you Sir, there is no anglo-Bami freedom fighter, it can only becalled West Cameroon freedom fighter. Bami is a tribe, Anglo in the Cameroons context is a state(nation) That mindset is what is grooming more problems to the west cameroonians because you people treat and compare them with Bami, Bassa, Pigmee etc. If the Bami who suffered the nationalist fight in the 50s are still not ready to fight back La Rep du Cameroun, will they have courage to fight but for West Cameroons?

      • In West Cameroon we spilled blood after 30yrs of independence to force a multiparty system or the semblance by creating a political party besides the one party state of the past. After all that the government promised decentralization which hasn’t happen for more than 20yrs.
Now we spill blood again in West Cameroon to force the Government to understand that we are a PEOPLE not a Tribe not a Language who believe in the right of self determination.
We will again do all to force this government to go back to a federation or outright independent states.
We are not a tribe we are a people, Oppressionist called black South Africans fighting apartheid TERRORIST, they called ordinary Palestinians wanting a life of self governance TERRORIST, they called black Americans fighting against segregation TERRORIST, they will soon call Francophones fighting against the strangulation of Francophonie by CFA franc TERRORIST.
The words terrorist, secessionists, extremist bla blah blah is the only weapon left in the arsenal of those who want to oppress others because they benefit from the status quo and have no real solutions to the problems raised by the people.
Change will come to Cameroon wether we like it or not, we can choose to be participants in the act of change or we can become spectators when others bring about the change.

  8. Why release them again? Shame on you, LRC. We’re all activists. We here mean we Anglophone Cameroonians. If you want to arrest next time, arrest all of us! Stupid government! Thieves.

  9. Galga Haman’s meeting with the consortium yesterday has also failled. The Cameroon episcopal conference want to step in.Meeting to be held in Mamfe. We nee to see the other detainees

    • And this is a good time they step in. With the powerful letter blow they delivered to Etoudi already served on the desk of Vatican to explain why schools have not resumed, we already have 1 diplomatic curtain raiser.

Where is Tata Alhaji? Tata isn’t it time the Muslim community in Abakwa mobilize to serve their own letter to Etoudi and counter the Danpullo rants? It’s time the wickedness he caused in old town up to locking up the Hausa chief catches up with him. @Ibiks, please mobilize the K-town Muslims to weigh in with a powerful rebuttal. The struggle continues…..

    • Garga Harman could have scored useful points to enhance his position by doing one simple thing first – going to Bamenda accompanied by released detainees . He missed a golden opportunity.

  11. Games, Games,Games! Cameroon gvt is playing with young people’s life. These are African leaders of tomorrow. Young vibrant men that are needed for the building of Africa, and the old basters in the gvt want to break their spirit. So sad! What did they do wrong? What happened to the rest? Kondengui is a very bad place to have those kids.
    Realease them ALL.

  12. @ Bikutsi

      • @Bikutsi
You win some and you lose some. Get up and move on to better things. Life goes on, n’est-ce pas?

  13. Welcome home freedom fighters

  14. @Mbamois

      • Lady Bikutsi,

You are a woman of honour. Don’t waste your precious time with a moron who cannot differentiate between ethnic groups within a country and a State within a State.

        • Hahahahaha, @Sincerity……Jegedé would say: “in fact, Bikutsi is the only queen in the whole uniVAS, the daughter of the soil, and by the grace of god, the queen of queens…”…

  17. @ Bikutsi

    • Simply because you refuse to outgrow your crude primitive leanings does not give you the right to nudge her along!

  18. Bikutsi @ has valid points governence is drawn up by members of the public usualy by mutual agreement ,wisdom and above all logic.Local and nationalistic governing tend to copy and paste the better bits that other countries have used to a posative outcome.if theres an overall outcry against something ( and the local population showed this by staying indoors on monday so its pretty obvious ) then the only ones not getting the message that something is wrong is the governing bodies .Whisking part of the population to a prison means there is no liberty and if they are under 21 an extemely serious breach of trust .They should all be released given a due trial, if needed, and not used as a bargaining chip for a strike that has been going on before these arrests.Theres no valid reason for governing bodies not to do their job ,listen and resolve this areas grivences and move on.

  19. An armada of government ministers of Education (Basic, Lower, Middle, Higher) is apparently assembled at North-west governor’s office, waiting for members of the Consortium of striking lawyers and educationists to start work from where they left off – mandatory incorporation of actors from the South-west Province. This praiseworthy stand of the North-west participants is worth noting for myopics who fail to see the divide- and rule scheming in the earlier hand picking of negotiators.
