Cameroon Expects $33 Million From Cocoa Export Tax Revenue in 2023

MarketWatch | YAOUNDE, Cameroon–Cameroon expects to receive at least 20 billion CFA francs ($33 million) through the taxing of cocoa bean exports in 2023, the government said in its budget for 2023.

According to the forecast, unprocessed cocoa beans being exported will be subject to a tax rate of 10%.

During the 2021-2022 cocoa season, Cameroon exported 217,107 metric tons of unprocessed cocoa beans, and locally processed 86,850 tons, according to government and industrial data.
