  1. Could this be the proverbial pot calling the kettle black or is this man speaking from some hidden experience? Why the smug swagger??Where is empathy for his colleagues caught in the catch-22 of serving the Fatherland without the means?

Did we not reach out to German experts to come and carry out basic forensics on the mortal remains of late Monsignor Balla of Bafia? Yet forensic knowledge, even the most basic of it, should help disentangle the judiciary of the many cases that are decided based on guesswork!!!!

Of course a small amount of work is done based on foreign funding- WHO, NSF, etc. Was Victor Anoma Ngu not piloting an HIV vaccine based on external resources? Did UB faculty not raise the issue of research funding? What was the feedback?

    • UB raised the issue of research funding to research what exactly? Accept the critique and get yourself to work. As far as I am concerned, the PhDs we have (and I have always stated this without any fear) are scum until they are able to prove otherwise.

      • Sharappp your big mouth lob man. You mami yi red pima so.

        • Please could you grow up and out of such reckless childishness? This forum reflects an entire nation of over 20,000,000.

        • Dinga – lock your dirty trap before I land on you. you this sorry looking weeping boy of a punching bag. Your Etoudi age mate slaughtering the entire southern Cameroon does not reflect over 20,000,000? In a time my village has been razed to the ground and my people eating grass and women prostituting in Nigeria you open your dirty trap to preach moral correctness. No wonder Biya ho always tuma wuna [email protected]@le and get away with it. I’ll pick cursing over killing anytime. Stay the fock off my lane old man.

        • ‘In a time my village has been razed to the ground and my people eating grass and women prostituting in Nigeria’.

Well, Bobi tanap, your statement is a reflection of your mental health… and then of course, you are Nyangi!

        • Ras Pima

You the gay mother forka. All hole for your skin wey na Pima so you don look ‘am? Lick smelly mbumbu your mami yi dirty Pima so. Nyangi your big banga them. Carry mouth like Pima for donkey di talk your Pima. I go kill you with witchcraft.

  2. Dieudonne Essomba is spot on! Having you read that pride in Ras bangs here. To him every topic is an opportunity for him to start harping endlessly about how others know nothing about research methods and are not intellectual enough. Superiority and inferiority complexes can transform a man into a walking mess!

    • ‘Having you read that pride in Ras bangs here’

Fruitcake, what type of sentence is this? A fragment; a statement; an acknowledgement… or what exactly? Whatever it is, I am sorry to say that it makes absolutely no sense. I mean, you are making all these silly mistakes in basic English for an individual who claims to be an English teacher in China.

Fortunately I have met many Chinese who write much better English than this mass of obfuscating mess from you. All the same, perhaps you will be more attentive now that somebody else is essentially stating the obvious. It pays to humble yourself and learn!

      • Kikiki @ras show him !!

      • Wow, Ras Banga,
How did you go from mocking at us who rush to the Queen, to be salivating over her language? You said Biya would send the French packing, now you are all over the Queen’s language! What a chameleon! Remember, if you want to tread on the wind, you should have wings to fly!

        • …mocking us…

        • Hey Fruitcake,

The Queen of England would certainly not care about what anybody else says even when you have proven to be an academic fraud!

        • Wow Ras Banga!
Academic fraud! Go play your small mind games with your Swedish meal ticket, you are no Einstein! Your academic intifada against John Dinga, Titanji and others fizzled out on its own. If you are looking for a new target, brace yourself. I’m not John Dinga, i’m a counter puncher and you know it! Small hollow weed muncher, don’t think picking an S here and there will play the magic for you. Lay out your claim to academia, that’s what matters!

    • Ras,

A Sunday school teacher is different from a real teacher—he is more of a catechist, or a Rev Father’s blue-and-gold macaw if you prefer…

      • Illiterate mbamilike swine. You still Dey for this forum. You no di tire dirty man? Your mami yi over size Pima so. With your mouth like pima for ngorong beep.

        • Hahaha, AmbaBlood…you dong forget colour today.

Ayuk Tabe dong turn-turn create me ndon sey followers…

  3. Tres beau reportage. Merci @dmin.
La musique Béti de fond a été bien choisie. Et biensur Dieudonné Essomba a pleinement raison dans tous ses propos.
Les vrais hommes Camerounais comme cà sont devenus très rares de nos jours.

    • Bikut,

check out his interview with Jean Bruno Tagne on youtube. This excerpt is from that interview…

      • Thanks ZZ.
Je le ferais des que possible. Il a l’air interressant.

      • ZamZam,
Maybe his other interview is worthy of note, will have to watch and see but I can tell you from what I gleaned here, his fellow is no economist.
If this is the best of Larepublique Economists then I am not surprised that they could only destroy a beautiful Ambazonia which they got access to.
Can you imagine this fellow putting all countries south of the Sahara in one pot and hailing Spain, Portugal, Greece and the rest of Eastern Europe? He obviously didn’t get to read about Botswana and Mauritius, they are perhaps not French speaking.
We can see the dirt in which he lives as a true reflection of francophone “values”
Imagine the water used to “wash” clothes and as a retired “economist” that is all the protection he can afford his family?
        How sad.

        • Hihihihi, Epée!

Ayuk Tabe dong really use Biya yi same kana bolloh for on top Ambalanders. Same as Biya dong castrate all man pickin dem for LRC, na the same way Ayuk dong double-castrate Amba man pickin dem. All we dong turn into voluntary blind men dem.

          Back to Essomba!

Esso na kick head man, na why dat wey LRC punish yi so. The man get wor-wor economy sense, but na Zam-Zam man. Listen to Esso yi cherie well-well, then you go know the kana man wey we di tok about. Small e.g. yi wife sey time wey Esso be convinced for yi stuff, wuna fit be wuna 1million for the opposite side, da one no go shake one bia-bia for on top yi head.

Poh-poh yi own Beti blade dem for gobna dem no want catch yi—some Beti dem di even claim sey Esso na bami-beti…

        • O yea Dipanda!

Since Essomba is not your typical ‘immoral jacket and tie’ that owns a posh house and a big compound which is littered with illicitly acquired posh cars, you dismiss his acumen even without seeing his works!

You haven’t watched the ‘other interview’ and your conclusion is derived based on the superabundance of knowledge you already have about an individual whom you have never encountered intellectually!

Now, I don’t care what anybody says but I think you are a genius; an epitome of the African intellectual dilemma.

Swedish scholars come to lectures with bicycles and dressed in rags but they transform Sweden into a land of light!

        • By the way, all African countries south of the Sahara (with the exception of South Africa which was built by Europeans) are UNDERDEVELOPED! So what is your contention about? How many universities and other tertiary institutions in this particular region are innovative?

Ok, Essomba lives in dirt which as you say is a reflection of Francophone values. But in Buea and Bamenda, not to mention other jigger-infested backwater areas in the SW and NW, you can’t count the number of pit latrines! I mean, the number of so-called Anglophones that travel home from Europe, US, Canada… and use pit latrines is mind-boggling. Who are you waiting for to improve your own material condition? The dirt-loving Francophones?

Do something creative and stop complaining and blaming your inadequacies on others!

  4. Essomba,

You are stating what has been decried by some of us since time immemorial. So you will never be the first… and you certainly will never be the last to lambaste the academic impostors who are woefully incapable of leading the transformation of our society. A good example, you can check out the first comment on this thread… those are the types of ‘impotent doctorates’ we have… ‘copycat doctorates’ with absolutely no ingenuity. What a pity!

    • Ras,

I totally disagree with you on your imp*otent theory.

By cleaning microscopes in labs for years one can with time be propelled to the position of a lab technician, hence a microscope specialist. Or not?

Wasn’t the Briton, Michael Faraday, a specialist in electromagnetic induction? Any wonder why his direct BRITON cousins can make good use of their prowess in the technique of dusting off microscopes and become specialists?…

    • Ras,

I totally disagree with you on your impotent theory.

By cleaning microscopes in labs for years one can with time be propelled to the position of a lab technician, hence a microscope spec*ialist. Or not?

      • Zam-Zam,

That was quite a skilful piece of sarcasm! Come with I, man… come with I, as Rasta would chant.

All the same, it is all about pulling our people out of vapid complacency and equiping them with the desire to expand their horizons.

      • Wuna Mami Pima so. All wuna 2. Mouth like pima for catarrh beep.

        • Eh Bobi Tanap… you dan bend dong look you own pima?

  5. @ Ras Tuge, as I had earlier stated.

  6. He is right. The level of education is a joke in Cameroon. Thats why your PhD’s don’t have any value outside Cameroon.

    • And all the PhDs of Mendo Ze, Olanguena Awono, Fame Ndongo, Titus Edzoa, Paul Biya, etc that were obtained in Europe are excelling in Prison and fraud and is worst than the local ones especially in governance. I will rather pick a local PhD like Dr Dewah, Dr Fru, Dr Sako, Dr Ayaba, Dr Akwanga to lead our country than all the European imported thieves. Africa’s biggest mistake will always remain her opening up to the European and American frauds that only know how to loot, steal and corrupt like England is holding onto Ethiopian chalice now and claiming it can only loan it to her. Terrible dark corruption.

      • Are you sure Dr. Dewah has a PhD?
        Wuna nogo kii person?
A man like this does not know that theories are cumulative in their predictive and explanatory power over natural phenomena? Why would he discount knowledge brewed in a western pot? Does the demand and supply mechanics of economic systems falter because of skin color?
This is what I have always said here, a pseudo panafricanist polluting the air with ignorance.
He spent 2 years in Paris so we should clap…is that his only claim to fame?
How sad. God being so good this type of 2×4 economists will have no place in Ambaland

      • Nayoh,

I can see your fascination with your ‘local PhDs! But you already had one fraud called Dr. John Ngu Foncha, and where did that lead you to? You even had one with documented academic qualification: Dr. Bernard Nsokkika Fonlon who was present at the Foumban Conference… yet, you marched to Foumban like men with no eyes! So you see, it is not an issue of PhDs… Rather, it is a matter of pragmatic vision… and so far, none of your so-called local PhDs that you mentioned is qualified. The results speak for themselves!

This insanity is summed up brilliantly by rasclaaat Cardinal Tumi who stated:

‘There is no document about what happened in Foumban. People went there to drink mimbo’- Cardinal Tumi (2018)

The same happened in your numerous so-called Conclaves! The cyber gangsterism..

  7. The entire cameroon education system is a scam. Honestly. We spend time studying things that can never help us.

    It’s sad.

We need to revamp our education system.

From 1980 until today da woman di wash cloths ontop stone for water. What have they been doing since then?

Yaoundé man. Chop broke pot..see house eish

    • We have passed the stage when we used to talk about the need to reorient our core curriculum. We are already talking about the implementation phase… so you are behind!

It is good you notice the local conditions that prevail even in YAOUNDE! So, underdevelopment is a widespread malaise and the educational standards are not contributing in alleviating the situation in any way.

      • Ras I would usually ignore your ranting but for the benefit of future generations who might see this let me respond to you attempt at querying why I would not consider Essomba as an intellectual without watching his other interviews which by the way I have since watched.
In the instant case, the man says as long as the theory works in Europe it is not applicable in Africa. That statement alone throws any doubts I might have had about his academic credentials. I am now convinced that he is no economist.
In his other interview he concludes that our minimal foreign exchange reserves are the reason why the economy of Larepublique is stagnant. He makes nonsense of all the evidence pointing to institutional failures, governance challenges and the political economy as barriers to growth

        • Dipanda,

I am not concerned by your polemics; so whether or not you respond to my comments is totally immaterial. However, let us have a little debate about the issue, if you may.

Before we begin, I would appreciate if you let me know your background. I am referring to your area of specialty… your level of education is inconsequential. I see you mentioning institutionalism and political economy which presupposes that you have studied the sciences of politics. However, your doubts with regards to the inappropriateness of European theory in the study of Africa, as Essomba states makes one wonder about your knowledge of structuralism. Besides, you gravely misquote Essomba’s statement on the aspect of theory, which is quite unfortunate.

          Essomba is right

        • Ras,
My background is inconsequential and structuralism is neither here nor there.
A man who doubts the cumulative nature of knowledge production and distribution obviously needs some more schooling.
And as I said earlier I do not plan to debate you or anyone here. I have spoken, take it or leave it, this man is no economist

  8. Herbs4nationHealing.

As far as I am concerned, the biggest fraudsters are those who call themselves “medical Doctors” yet they die of cancer, aids, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and all. They have been simply brainwashed to diagnose and prescribe but can never truly heal a sick person and that is only possible with the right combination of natural herbs and a successful Intracellular cleansing. Let the bible amidst its controversies, guide those who believe to use herbs and heal the nations as foretold. That could be said of doctors in other fields too, especially agronomists who cultivate man made plants for human consumption in place of natural plants and in so doing, generate diseases that were never meant to be.

  9. @ ZZ
J’ai visionné tt le reportage. Ce type est une vraie tête dans tout son humilité. Un homme du terroir.
Ca change un peu de ma série préférée du moment: Pakgne. Ces petites soeurs me font trop rire. Regarde un peu l’épisode “le blanc de poupi” ou alors “les jongleuses “. Cà détend.
