Song feels he has made an impact at Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Alexandre Song has stated that he has arrived at Emirates Stadium. The Cameroon international has come in for some heavy criticism from some Arsenal fans for being too lightweight for the Gunners, but manager Arsene Wenger has kept his faith and the 21-year-old has now started to show the Gunners fans what he can really do.After the loss of Mathieu Flamini and Lassana Diarra last season, many felt the Gunners needed a strong and experienced defensive midfielder, but Song has stepped in and done well to keep his place. The Cameroon international also feels he has won the trust of Wenger, who has stuck with him all season, handing him more first team starts than he could’ve hoped for.Speaking to Arsenal’s official magazine, Song said, “I think I’ve arrived now.”I’m more confident and I think the boss sees that as well.” The former Bastia player has been living in the shadow of his uncle, Cameroon legend Rigobert, but now feels he has established himself as a player in his own right. “Before, when I went to the national team, some people would say I was there because of my uncle.

“They would say, ‘Maybe it’s because we are family’ – blah, blah blah – but now people tell him, ‘Your nephew is good. We’re happy to have him’.”

The Arsenal youngster has been at Emirates Stadium since 2005, when he moved for a fee of £1 million, and he has since played 42 Premier League games for the club, scoring just one goal.

Yeah he should rightly stand up to the challenge and not only proof his critic wrong, but grow up into a more responsible player.
    Good luck
